#1 is up!
Thanks to Drake for working with me to get this series going. Obviously there will be ties to Spider-Man as we move along. It's hard to set up much of a mystery when you all know who Ben is...or do you?
Let me know what you think.

I really liked this chapter and am really looking forward to this series. I feel part of the fun of this site is being able to do something that wouldn't happen in Marvel, and Ben with the Morlocks is definitely that.as a first issue was really good, you introduced the main character and the supporting cast, gave hints as to a bigger evil, and introduced conflicts between the main character and some of the supporting cast. All in all I really hope this series goes on for a long time.

Characters: 7.5/10 (Eh, you were just setting up the characters, so IMO there wasn't much to offer. Not to mention there was so many. But Ben and Callisto are certainly interesting characters.)
Story/Writing: 8.5/10 (Once again you have proven to be an excellent writer by giving us an interesting take on the Scarlet Spider characters. Can't wait for more.)
Ending: 8/10 (Basically, the buildup helped for the ending, mainly having you wonder what will happen next, especially with what was revealed to the audience that Ben doesn't know)
Entertainment: 7.5/10 (Honestly, this is your least exciting story I ever read. Which shows how great of your writer you are that I still consider it above average.)
So yeah, very well written and very interesting, but I don't really feel the spark that Demon Knights and Aquaman gave.
Edit: Also forgot the overal total.
Overall: 7.875

Thanks for the reviews. I agree it's not the most exciting, but I don't think it's my least exciting either. I debated doing it as a Spider-Man backup or a mini first because there's a lot to set up and then I could start my series with a bang, but decided against it since we aren't selling comics. It's the same story either way and I dont need to play any business games.
I will say things are going to get exciting fast. The "origin" is going to take a while and involve crossing over with Drake, but the introduction is out of the way so we'll be off running now.

I will also say that this wasn't that exciting, and I'm also not a big fan of Ben or the Morlocks, but still, the title has potential and #1 gave me a good first impression.
The issue: 6.8/10

I for one loved the issue. I'll admit I've gotten harder to please over the last couple years, but you still manage to win me over, Star.
The Smythes were cool, I loved the teasing about the Gargoyles and I like the internal struggle for the Morlocks. Ben is a cool protagonist in the same way Jason Bourne is. He kicks ass, doesn't know why, and in fact doesn't know a whole lot about himself. Can't wait to see what the Morlocks think of him when they find out his true past.

You really know how to build a world! It's a fascinating take and I'm eager to hear more. There are a number of characters but they will take form in time, for now they are well introduced. Well done.

First Impressions I'm honestly not sure why you're bringing Xanatos into this. Xanatos is one of my personal favorite villains in all of fiction, but I don't see him fitting as anything but another shadowy CEO character. The Marvel Universe is filled with corrupt CEOs and scientists who seem like they would serve the exact same purpose without resorting to Disney. Xanatos has a very specific feel to him, and I'm not sure it's possible to portray that in a world without the Gargoyles or the fey or other spirits involved in the Gargoyles storyline, at least it doesn't seem like that's the direction you're going between Ben Reilly, the Morlocks, and Mojo.
As for the chapter itself, your insistence on present tense continues to be the bane of my existence. It's like reading an entire, otherwise very well-written chapter in every other factor, in the tone of hyenas scratching their claws on a chalkboard while William Hung sings falsetto covers of Taylor Swift songs.
The chapter otherwise is very well done, with some excellent plot hooks being set up for later. I loved Ben, Callisto, and Marrow and look forward to reading more.
I don't have much else to say because for the most part everything is done right and done well. I still personally need some convincing on Xanatos, but this chapter has everything from action to character to intrigue to leave me wanting more, and I can't wait for #2!

I appreciate the kind words and the hyperbole. I won't defend my use of present tense, as we've gone over it numerous times in other places. Agree to disagree.
As for Xanatos, well it's in the way you view it. In many ways a lot of our claims lists could be changed with other characters that could still fit within our stories. In the end a lot of it has to do with liking the character. My claims for this title are a bit all over the place and that's on purpose. I liked the challenge of taking from all these different sources and making them all fit together in a satisfying way. This is the All Star Universe. In Marvel 616 a series with Scarlet Spider, Morlocks, Mojo, Arcade, and Gargoyles characters sounds like a bad 90s fever dream. In our universe we make it work!
Or at least I intend to try. Fortunately I seem to have jumped the first hurdle with the Morlocks for all of you. On to the next.

#2 is up!
Sorry this took a while. I hit a bit of a wall in telling the story. I want to keep the first arc at 3 issues, getting to the next one quick where things will really take off. It was hard for me to fit everything I wanted and keep it short. Hopefully it doesn't show.
Let me know what you think!

Another great issue. The characters are developing well, and Marrow's now more sympathetic than she was in the past. I like the internal conflicts that are brewing and the larger, looming threat of Alistair Smythe. Frankly, while this issue didn't blow me away there's not much to critique.

You continue to build a very interesting world, and the characters really come through. I do like that the outside world is beginning to show up, though I can't help but wonder if there will be any interactions with other mutants.
But a great story, well done.

I swear I reviewed this...weird.
Another good issue. The plot's moving quickly, which is always good. I definitely didn't expect that murder. I can't say too much about the ending because I'm involved in the development of that plot, but I will admit I'm really excited to get to writing that with you.

I don't have a terrible lot to comment on for chapters 2 or 3 because they're both quite good with little flaws to point out. Well, besides present tense, but that's a given at this point. The characters are well-written and feel like their original creations. A shame the Smythes died so soon just after they were introduced, but oh well. I can't wait to see what you do with Arcade and Mojo. They should be a lot of fun.

Thank you for the review. And yeah, obviously the lead up through the "Clone Saga" is taking a bit but Drake and I are going to have it done by next month. Then I'll really be able to get into Scarlet Spider. This is like the 3rd time I've claimed Arcade and I only used him once, just a brief introduction in Hellfire Club #1 before the reboot. I've been building toward using him for quite some time.
And Mojo? Oh man, I have some crazy plans for that.
So #4 is up! I hope some more people start reading. This continues from the very end bit of Amazing Spider-Man #8. The plan right now is for Part 2 to take place in Scarlet Spider #5 and then Part 3 in Amazing Spider-Man #9. It's odd but we had to reshuffle some things and Drake really needs to do the last part.
Let me know what you think.

Good chapter that ties in well to the Spider-Man title. I do wonder how this crossover will look to someone who's only reading one title and not the other and maybe doesn't know exactly where to start one and stop the other, but given the circumstances that's probably unavoidable.
Even though you differentiate between "Peter" and "Spider-Man", I still kept getting really confused on which Spider-Man was speaking. I'm honestly not certain on how you could have made it more distinct and more clear.

#5 is up! Part 2 of the Secret Identities arc.
It's been pretty fun working on this with Drake, despite the odd ordering. Let me know what you guys think! And get ready, The Spectacular Scarlet Spider #6 will be the beginning of a new chapter for our hero!

Fun fact, this issue officially inducts SSS into continuity! Honestly, I couldn't have imagined a better issue for Star to do so than this.

I'm so sorry I doubted this title. I've been reading it and I think it's great. Overall an 8/10.
Your take on Spidey is really good. His voicing is darn near perfect. I think that this crossover is really great, and hopefully it'll set an example for future crossovers *cough* DeadpoolRocketRaccooncrossover *cough*
What a particularly like is the action sequences. They're very well-written and organized. You take the time to describe what's going on and how it affects each character.
And that cliffhanger tho.
This issue: 8/10. Forgive me for borrowing your words, but keep 'em coming.

It was a lot easier to follow who was what this issue. It struck me as odd that the warehouse had no security or cameras but the complex below did. Plenty of warehouses have security cameras. That's really just nitpicking and it doesn't break suspension of disbelief really.
This was a great issue and I have very little to complain about. If anything, I'm kind of anxious for this arc to end but only because it feels like just an extension of Amazing Spider-Man, which while also awesome, it depriving me of the uniqueness that Scarlet Spider has been so far and has been promising, what between the Morlocks, Arcade, and Mojo.
Keep up the good work!

Comix:
I'm glad Ive won you over. Thanks for the review. I definitely enjoy writing the action scenes. I don't know how it is for other people, but I visualize everything as if I were watching a movie and then write down what I see. So I try to be specific about action without bogging things down by being too specific.
DoB:
The warehouse was described as looking like it was ancient. If it didn't come across as abandoned like I intended my bad.
As for the arc, well it is over as far as my side of it is concerned. But it had to happen and, just like Ben is a clone(extension) of Peter, so too was this an extension of ASM. The character and the series had come to terms with Spider-Man before it could move on. But now we'll be getting into the nitty gritty. Thanks for the review.

Not gonna lie, I forgot I was reading Scarlet Spider for a while there. Your handle on Spidey is great. I'm really excited for what comes next in this title and seeing Ben come into his own as a person.

So finally getting around to reading more of this series.
I have to point out that in Chess white goes first, sure Leech and ben might not know that but it still took me out of the issue. That was a really good ending, both the fight and Marrow objecting to it, plus there's a great cliffhanger.
You seem to be really good at ending chapters, because issue 3's was great.
Not much to comment on with 4 other than it was really good.
the heart to heart between Peter and Ben was really well done, as was the cliffhanger of course.
This series is really damn good, the pacing is really good, I don't find any spelling or grammar errors, and the characters come across as unique, which is obviously an important thing during the crossover.

Thanks for the reviews. The chess thing is my bad. Ben should have known that. It's been so long since I played chess. I'll fix it later on today.

The Spectacular Scarlet Spider is the second title I have read and caught up with in the All Star-Verse. Seriously, are you and drake the same person? You both write Spiderman perfectly. This title has been a very fun spin off and is getting even better now that we can see Ben come to be his own person.
I'll be honest here, I'm tempted to start the title: Web of Kaine just to try and jump on this amazing bandwagon. This title is a lot of fun to read and I'm very much excited to see it continue.
I will say that maybe Scarlet Spider should leave New York and find a different city to protect. I imagine that Spiderman and Scarlet Spider will run into each other a lot while fighting crime in the same city. But New York is a big place so maybe I'm wrong (Every marvel character says that I'm wrong since they all protect NY)
Loving this title. Keep it up

Well written, good job.
While I saw Gargoyles in my head for a good chunk of it, the story was very interesting. The characters are very well formed and excited, and you really feel for Ben just trying to make sense of everything. And in the process trying to do some good.
