It was a pretty terrible comic when it came out, and I was surprised to hear it was optioned a couple years back. Hopefully the movie is better and does well, but it's a definite wait for it to be on free tv type of thing for me. -M

Oh and I saw X-Men: Days of Future Past last Sunday. I loved it and actually enjoyed it more than Amazing Spider-Man 2. Did I enjoy it more than Captain America 2? I don't know as there was only a couple of weeks time between when I saw Spider-Man 2 and X-Men and a month or so between Cap 2 and X-Men.

Sorry, I am wolverined out to high hell. I'd take an Emma frost movie over his at this point and despise her. I'll be passing on days until my Wolvie levels go down enough. Maybe next decade or so. And I'm not paying ten bucks for 32 second at the tail end of the characters I give two shits about. Even for jean that's not worth it. Plus I can totally YouTube that anyway for free.
If the next x-men movie is Scott based, or really ANYONE other then Logan I'll put the money down. Happily, but Logan has become an automatic deal breaker for me. Painfully over played.
Really impressed with the new spider man though. Incredible writing. Hadn't seen the like in some time. That one is joining my personal collection, Gwen was a welcome breath of fresh air after so many of the other female characters I've been dealing with. She and widow are giving me hope. Just hope dc us watching, they could use the help.

DoFP isn't actually about Wolverine, he is one of the main characters but it is really Xavier, Mystique and Eriks movie.

Yeah. Wolverine really doesn't become as much of a main character once you get to the middle of the second act towards the third act.

When it gets on netflix I'll skip to that part of the bar then.

When you do wait until Wolverine shows up, the fight scene at the beginning is amazing, in fact all the future ones are, some of the best in superhero movies.

I'm the weird one but fight scenes don't do a lot for me unless there's real plot behind them. If it's right at the beginning that sounds unlikely.

The fight scene actually has plot to it. It introduces how powerful the Sentinels are and why the X-Men have managed to survive.

Yeah it sounds like your mind is pretty much set, but you're missing out on a great movie.

It's understandable, I have similar feelings about Batman.

So, not watching Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice?

I am not, partly due to overexposure of Batman and partly due to how horrible MoS was.

I'm waiting for reviews, but I'm really, really afraid of it sucking balls. DC is just not doing great right now, with I could say otherwise.

Here, this will cleanse the palette. Watching it will not only spur brain cell growth, but it may(no promises) cure cancer.

I know I was asking for it, the other three didn't really bother me all that much but for some reason this one just was the last nail on the coffin for me.

I honestly liked Hot Rod in the movie. Yeah he screwed up, but he persevered and was able to beat Robo-Galactus.

So just a few thoughts:
ASM2: It was honestly one of my favorite Superhero movies ever. Was it as artistic and grand as the Dark Knight? No, but when Gwen died I was moved to tears. And thats something that's hard to do when you know it's going to happen.
MoS: I really, really loved that movie and I can't for the life of me understand why everyone hates it so much. I just don't get it. It was the Batman Begins of the Superman franchise. In everyhthing from tone to story.
DoFP: It was my second favorite X-Men movie, behind First Class. I've never really understood why people get fed up with "overexposure." Characters like Batman and Wolverine are used so often because they are great, powerful characters and Hugh Jackman is one of, if not the best, Superhero actor ever. There's a reason they're so popular and that's because they are good. Overall though, it was a solid movie, and the climax makes it all worth it whether you like Wolverine or not.
Transformers 4: It was in no way a bad movie, and by far the best one so far, but damn was it long. All of the fight scenes were well choreographed and every battle had a story, but the movie just had too much happening. The Megatron story could've been saved for 5 and this movie could've focused on the Dino-bots...because they were so awesome the like 30 minutes they were there. Overall, it was very hard to stay awake for the midnight premier.
I rank the Spider-Man movies the same as Drake.
Avengers movies:
Cap 2 Thor 2 Iron Man Avengers The Rest
To be honest...I didn't really like most of the first sequence, at all.
Very excited for Batman/Superman.

In everyhthing from tone to story. I think you hit on exactly why people hate it, Superman is a different superhero to Batman, he shouldn' be in the same type of movie.

Ya, that's the problem. Clark is blue batman. Ollie us green batman. Now with flash we'll likely get red batman. Oh goody.
I don't need or want four varieties of batman, one is enough. I would, however, love a green arrow, superman and flash. If they could get to that someday.
Here in lies the damage of over exposure. DC got so much batman in their blood they're turning other characters into him. My husband is a batman nut, by the laws of marriage I'm required to like the guy, but I still want Oliver to be Oliver, not another Bruce.
Wolverine has been used so continuously other characters are reduced to side characters at best. If they don't show up for three seconds so it "counts". Hell, look at how they were all just killed off the first time. We saw Scott for, what, seven seconds before they killed him and cut his eyes out? Less? Even the super popular dead pool got one scene before they carved his brain out. There are too many characters in the x-men universe for any one to get THAT MUCH attention. He needs to learn to share, period.

Having seen the episodes of Arrow with Barry I can't imagine him turning into Red Batman, I can't really argue about Ollie being like Batman but at least the show seems to be proud of it's comic book roots rather than the dark knight trilogy and MoS's embarrassment of being associated with comics.

Except where their leading lady is concerned, but that's another (depressing) topic.
Barry was deliciously corny as hell in his one appearance, but this is the same team that took the jokester and teasing ollie and turned him into…whatever he is now…so as much as I would love for him to survive with is joviality in tact I'm not letting myself get my hopes up. Did that with arrow and it ended up hurting like bleeding hell.
