Go ahead and do what the title says here.

All of the announcements stickies to the boards are showing up in individual series boards. It's ugly and makes them cluttered.

I'll get that fixed tomorrow.

Has this been fixed already or does it still need to be done?

It needs to be done. I'm on vacation and am frankly just glossing through everything on the site. Good news is that I hope to get a lot of writing done (I'm kind of behind).

Don't worry about it. Enjoy yourself on your vacation, I got you while you're out.

It'd done. Any other complaints, critiques etc?

I'd like to suggest a general clean up of the board. There's a lot of outdated stickies that could be deleted or merged. The News and the Like section hasn't been used in over six months and is unnecessary. The FanCon section isn't relevant at the moment and is above all the other sections that are. Just stuff like that.

I'll open up a line of communications with the other admins to better discuss how we will go about cleaning up the board, where everything will go etc. Thank you for this.

It is a good idea. We'll definitely discuss it and fix up the site a little. I'll get to adding the new wallpaper too.

Can you get the 1985 thing out of my subboard please?

So, UDC's "clean up" got me thinking. Does All Star look fine, or should we have a better background, different colors, etc.? Is there anything we can and should change?

Everything's good to me. Though, I think the little news banner at the top needs updating.

The gray background looks a bit bland IMO.
Color scheme is good though.
News banner being out of date is noticeable.
You may want to consider eventually making additional skins for users to choose from.

Everyone, go to your profile settings and try the theme "AllStarTest727."
Tell me what you think of the slight color change (white instead of gray), and the wallpaper. Hopefully Dob will tell me his secret to keeping the wallpaper from tiling, so we won't have that problem soon.

I like it, once you change it so it doesn't tile it'll obviously be better but it'll still be my default skin until then.

The background is a little distracting IMO. I went to an issue and it draws your eyes away from the text. I think because the picture is so dense with things.

No. It's more empty space and lights. The cityscape is full of detail and specifics.

It's nice, but I have to a gree with Star. A wee bit too distracting. I'd like it more if it didn't repeat itself.

It's not a bad background, but it is a bit busy. I think part of the issue might be the multiple colors of the background clashing with the red and white. Perhaps something with a bit less detail.
Also, I don't immediately remember if this was a setting or if I had to put in some CSS script, but there should be a way to get the background to stay fixed even when you scroll the page.

Does fixing it into place make a difference? If not, should I look for a better background or stick with the plain gray one. Also, if I should look for another, should it still be a view of NYC, or something else entirely?

I would go with a shot of NYC or a group pic of the Avengers.

Generally most things with actual characters are far too busy and distracting to use for an actual background. Ultimate DC had a silhouette thing previously which I think worked for the time, but that was an exception.
You can google public source images, but generally you want something without too much detail or color variation, and I'd stick with something light gray with maybe some light red trim. It doesn't necessarily need to be Marvel-related, it can just be something that looks good with the rest of the forum.
Keep in mind there's pretty much no way to make a background look the same universally for every computer and resolution.

Most recent background is very distracting. Dark gray / black on one side and stripes on the other.
It took me forever to find a good background, so don't be too discouraged.

Yeah with this background I keep wanting to look over to the left rather than what's in the middle.
