Okay, so I'm building the twins and I'm coming against the wall. I was going on the movie skills, which would be good enough I guess, but when I try to pin down her comic powers I get very, very confused. Her brother seems understandable enough.
So what then are Wanda's powers in the comics now? Just so I know what I'm dealing with.

Powerful Magician, based around Chaos Magic. She once channelled the Inbetweener during Waid's Avengers run.
Previously her Hex Bolts were mutant based, with vague mystical elements, but they were probability altering elements which basically altered the way things interacted with other things. Sometimes obviously, other times not. Like, Hex a Car and the engine might explode, or alternately, the gears might just change.
At some point she could fly.
Then at some point she couldn't.
Chaos Magic is a real thing, despite what Bendis said, and actually originated from Dr Strange's third series (Sorcerer Supreme) after he took part in the War of the Seven Spheres for the Vishanti. It was ignored almost immediately after Ellis' left the series. Sad.
Essentially, Movie powers are almost entirely unrelated to her comic powers because Probability alteration isn't as flashy as mental powers.

Yes, correct.
She alters probability of things, at will, but not the consequences of that probability. That just happens.
Also - Magic. She can do magic.

Might I have two or three examples of magic for range and reference?

Probability-Ruptures. Sudden bursts of physical force. The ability to control chaos (although that was advanced under Busiek's Avengers run)
I would say 100% offensive, but not much in the way of Defensive ability.

Okay, thanks.
A kind of magical, jinxing, and glass cannon who is always finding odd things she can do. I like that.

Glass cannon? I don't know what that means.
Bendis retconned the Chaos Magic stuff because of reasons but otherwise, everything is reasonably consistent according to her portrayal and abilities.

I will bow to your knowledge on the matter and thank you for the assistance. It really helped.
Glass cannon is a DnD term, means great offence but poor defense.

Be good to see a bit more supernatural stuff happening around here - especially with a Focus on Wanda. I always felt she was greatly under-utilised.

The point of my story is that everyone is coming into their powers, so she wasn't "activated" before. With experience under her belt and time passing her abilities manifest themselves more. I do hope to write her well, I know she's a loved character.
