Every panel is still open for questions, but we're having a very low turnout for the Con this year, so I'm going to start the X-Line panel.
Adrini, Jelly, take it away.

There certainly is a good deal of action in your book. Mutants in the current world sure seem to have more than their share of troubles. Are they going to get a breather anytime soon, or is that going to have to wait?
It might have to wait. The next arc opens with them having some down time, although things will only get crazier from here on out.
The current school has to be feeling the aftershocks of all the attacks and disappearances. It’s also harboring its own secrets. Will it continue to be the safe haven and refuge?
It will always be a safe haven for mutants. No matter what troubles befall the school, that will never change. Although, the safety of the school will be called into question as attacks become a bit more frequent in the next arc.
Psylocke seems to be quite exciting, she is certainly causing conflict. What is she going to bring to the team next?
Well, I just put up a new post in the solicits thread that has to do with Psylocke. But, I've always loved Psylocke, she kicks ass. #13 is very important for her and her relationships to some of the cast.
The young members of the house are getting more tied into the dangers as time goes on. They are getting normal lessons, of course, but what lessons are they learning from their extracurricular activities?
Hellion, Shadowcat, Cypher, Pixie, and Polaris have all graduated high school. In fact, Hellion, Pixie, Cypher, and Shadowcat were the first graduating class from the school. For them, it's less about what they can be taught by others and more about what they can learn by going out into the world and living life. They're young adults, and so they're being put into more adult situations.
I will say that Polaris is kinda the "Luke Skywalker" of this story, a little bit. Evil father? Check. Illegitimate love child? Check. Hasn't really interacted with the world of mutantkind and it's "politics" (if you can call it that) at large? Check. She has a lot to learn about her family.
I don’t doubt that there are still people who are waiting for their turn to make the X-Men’s lives miserable. Are there any hints you would like to leave for readers going forward?
Y'ALL GET HYPED WE GOING TO SPACE! WOOO WOOOOO!

So, with the interview out of the way, it's announcement time. Yay!
The next arc of Astonishing X-Men is indeed where we go to space. I've been hyping it up for so long, I felt I had to get to it soon. it starts with chapter #14.
However, it's also my last arc on the title. This will run concurrently with Ultimate Blue Lantern over at UDC. Both will end my time with the two sites.
I will give you an advance solicit for Astonishing X-Men #14 and then y'all can ask me questions if you want (you don't have to though, I'm not your boss).
Astonishing X-Men #14 - The Fall of the X-Men
- Utopia is attacked once more as the Acolytes make their first big steps in their master plan. - Magneto finally returns! - And an X-Man dies.

That's both awesome news and incredibly sad. I'll miss you, man! At least it won't be for a while, and we'll have a badass story in the meantime.
BTW I call dibs on the X-Men!! XD

I do have a question. Behind Gambit, who's been your favorite character to write?

I may fight you for that dibs Drake.
As for a question do you have a character that's been difficult to write?

Drake: Hellion and Sunspot have been fun. So has Kitty, she went from being someone I never thought about to one of my favorite characters, I always her liked because she was an X-Man and not because of her character (I don't really like her current direction in the comics though). She's spunky and fun, she's got some sass, but most importantly, she's got a really big heart and she loves everyone close to her (some more than others ). And Hell, all of them are fun to write. What's great about the X-Men is that they're all great. Every single one. I think the thing modern X-Men writers and fans do wrong is point at a specific era or team and say "that's the one, that is the X-Men," which is wrong to me. I may have my favorites, sure; but I love all the X-Men. They're a joy to write. 10/10, can't recommend enough. Adrini: you are a joy to work with. I hope that with your help, this next arc can be as big as I want it to be. Elec: other than Storm and Nightcrawler, not really. After I ended her romance with Gambit, Psylocke actually got easier to write. I'm worried Warlock will be hard. The whole "self/friend" is gonna be a bit weird to get used to, but I love him, so I'm excited nonetheless!

Actually, scratch that bit about Kitty loving "some more than others," it's actually just one person. Romantically.

But you don't have Magik claimed.

I thought the "everyone's bi" rule only applied when it was Chris Claremont writing. Also, ask Adrini about Magik, I have no idea what the plan is for her but I want her to appear because she's great.

I don't know about everyone being bi but Kitty/Magik seems to be subtext almost no matter who is writing them.

You have a point, although it's kinda weird due to the Colossus stuff. I think it's wrong to date the sibling of someone you already dated. The problem here though is that Magik hasn't even really popped up yet.

She's coming fairly soon. PM me if you have ideas.
DOB might not get to my title, BTW.

If I'm not busy after seeing Star Wars tomorrow, I'll send some questions your way.
