I've decided since the site is fading so quickly to not force myself to write something that I have no desire to, but rather to just post my outline in much the same way I did for Knights. With that said, here's what would have happened next, completely unedited, leaving the door open to another writer...

#21: Kree-Spartoi 6 – Finis Principio (The End of the Beginning)
-Peter stops Thanos from immediately attacking. He asks him who he is and why he’s doing this. Thanos explains he must for someone he loves. Peter retorts and says he can change, just like he did. Thanos chortles the comment away. He isn’t fazed.
-The two talk for a little while more, as Thanos toys with him. Thanos explains this moon is where the Infinity Gauntlets and their respective Seven Wonders of the Galaxy were created by his race, the Eternals. Peter explains that he too is fighting who he loves--the Guardians. Thanos mentions Death is his dearest. Peter jokes about that. (Would be less awkward sounding than that LOL.)
-Thanos won’t have any more, although he does remark Peter is just like his ancestor (yes, Thanos knows. Thanos knows all).
-The two clash. The Element Gun doesn’t do much, but it slows Thanos down.
-A colorful, explosive, creative battle, involving the elements and teleportation (via the Space Stone). The two duke it out, Peter throwing quips.
-Thanos manages to catch Peter and take MIND from him, but he teleports away before Thanos takes more. Everyone unfreezes, tries to fight Thanos, but gets teleported away by Peter.
-But not before Peter is mortally wounded. Peter teleports away, but won’t use Time to heal himself because of what happened to Phyla. He falls to his knees; Thanos--his doom--lingering over him. The battle is lost…until HEATHER rockets in and hits Thanos away. She takes the IG from Peter, and traps him in a time capsule, so he can’t die.
-Thanos outmaneuvers Nova and gets SPACE, although Heather gets a few good hits in. Nova blasts herself away. She’s beaten and weak, and can’t use the Time Stone to heal herself, because she got the Gauntlet after her serious/Drax injury.
-Thanos realizes this, and corners Nova. He prepares to kill her, Nova unsure of what to do, when Thanos is blasted away by light. Phyla emerges, fading but fighting.
-She explains that the Quantum Bands are related to the IGs (Seven Wonders of the Galaxy, an ancient armor/weapons system created by the Eternals to combat their creators, the Celestials), which weakens the Stone’s effects on her, and on top of that she’s displaced from time, unable to be trapped by the present Time Stone any further. She’s disconnected from the time stream.
-She tells Nova she’ll take care of it from here, and asks Heather to watch the others, care for them. She then tells her to thank the others for “giving her a chance, caring for her, and” to Peter, “for being the leader she never knew.” (Peter died before she joined the team in her timeline.)
-Lastly, she says something she didn’t get to in her time, “Past, present, and future, I love you always, Heather Douglas.”
-Phyla steals a kiss, and charges Thanos, piercing right through his chest with her Quantum sword and reaching for the Gauntlet. She can’t snag it, but the two duel for it. She manages to take the POWER gem, and uses it to overwhelm Thanos (even as it causes her immense pain) and blast the two off into deadspace far away from everyone else.
-Phyla manages to overpower Thanos, throwing the IG away from him and leaving him to float in space, in the middle of nowhere. He doesn't go out without a fight, and her energy shield breaks as Thanos’ laser vision pierces her chest, just as she fades away, smiling contentedly, a brighter future won.
-Thanos is left to float in space, lost…
-Back on the moon, Heather’s sobbing. She finds the others have beaten the Badoon. Gamora admits her changed sides, and will go as prisoner if that helps. She freezes her in time and the other injured Guardians, before surrounding the Guardians, Gamora, and Drax in a Nova energy pod. From there, she sets course for the nearest planet—Earth.
-The pod safely crash lands, and, at last, Heather loses consciousness.
-EPILOGUE 1—Xandar: The Novas try to recover, burning their queen’s body. Her tombstone reads her as “KREE!” (But Heather was the first non-Xandarian Nova, right? WRONG! Dun dun dunnnn!) One Nova releases her helmet into the air, allowing it to fly off into space, looking for a new host.
-EPILOGUE 2—Kill finishes explaining what happened to Cosmo, who decides to immediately create a crew to find the Guardians. Kill decides to lead it. "Are you beink certain, Comrade Kill? You have done so much already," Cosmo says. The Korbinite smiles, "Call me Bill, pooch. Call me Beta Ray Bill."
-EPILOGUE 3—The crippled Kree forces struggle to decide what to do on Hala, as they begin to develop a new Supreme Intelligence. Even more shocking, on their weakened and considerably smaller War Council is the newly elected Captain Phyla Vell.
-EPILOGUE 4—On Spartoi, the royal council admits they must look for a new king, while Ronan rots in a cell.
-EPILOGUE 5—Out in space, Thanos floats, hopelessly alive and enraged, the Infinity Gauntlet thrown far out of his grasp. The Reality Stone in it fades away, not meant for this time…
-EPILOGUE 6—Elsewhere, in the remains of the Temple Ship, a single golden hand emerges from a dark green cocoon.
-EPILOGUE 7--A man in a suit pulls up beside the crash site of the Guardians' pod, and quickly approaches a group of similarly suited men and scientists attempting to perform emergency medical procedures on the injured. The more healed ones are taken away. The first suited man turns to one particular scientist, who's looking over the Gauntlet on Heather's hand.
-"Sir, you're not going to believe this, but--but it looks just like the Nega Stone. Only it's, well, orange," the scientist says as he points to the remaining Time Stone in the Gauntlet. The suited man smirks, "Looks like this is our lucky day. Bring the stone, bring them all back to base." The scientist, "Yes, sir, Agent Korvac, sir."
