If it makes you feel better, like four characters I was going to use for a pitch I didn't think anyone would ever use got picked, so.
Although I probably should have known better with Mephisto.

Lol. Of all the villains I didn't think would get claimed before me, you go and take MODOK. PM me. There's a very very strong chance we can work something out

Were you really planning a Warriors three title as well?

I was planning to steal the name and have it apply to Thor, Hercules, and Amadeus Cho, since Wiki said that the Warriors Three were fictional creations of Marvel and not mythological figures anyway.
But yeah. :/
It's not a big deal, though. I'd rather everyone got to do what they want and I'm super flexible. That was just the idea I'd thought most about since I didn't think anyone would actually claim it, haha.

Hmm not sure how we can work around the whole name thing. Might be able to call it the God Squad and Thor is just a minor supporting role in my idea.
Also, my bad there jellyfish didn't mean to jump the gun like that.

How did I go fourth in line? Did I time travel?
Side note: Bees are scary, yo.

Nah, really, don't worry about it. The Marvel universe is big. I'll get something awesome, just you wait.

Grimm, might I suggest Champions as a title? I think it would fit very well with those characters.

My plans actually wouldn't work unless I got the majority of the Olympian and Asgardian pantheons, since the idea was them teaming up to prevent Ragnarok on Earth/Midgard and I'd have dealt heavily with the interplay between the Asgardians and Olympians.
Maybe after this draft is done I'll post the preliminary plans I had for this and Iron Man to see what people think, because I'm a perfectionist and a praise whore.

Not that I'm the person who gets to decide these things, but...
Shouldn't Baron Strucker need permissions from whoever claims Captain America?

Baron Strucker is arguably just a HYDRA villain, not a Cap villain and HYDRA is a global force so it's fine.

HYDRA can be anyone's problem, not just Captain America. I played with the idea of using them for X-Factor. Besides, I think they're big enough that they can easily be involved in multiple titles.

If I could claim A.I.M. without him I definitely would do that.
Edit: I also have no interest in Hydra. So have at it.

If it's the need two claims before you can claim an organization bit, then you could go for the Scientist Supreme (any of them) or the guy from the Iron Man 3 movie. Just a thought if you were looking for alternatives. It doesn't affect me in any way other than confusion (at least so far).

I'm personally more concerned with Thor being claimed as support for a side character based title. I have no problem with Warriors Three being a series, but Thor? As support in a title not his own? I dunno...

HYDRA affects the entire Marvel universe. Saying they're a Cap villain is unfair to them.

Just noticed the Thor thing. I thought he'd removed it. Yeah, that can't stand.

Will Nick Fury and SHIELD still be considered public claims?
If so, how much of SHIELD (which characters) will be considered public claims?
For that matter, any other characters either public or non-claimable for any other reasons?

It may back fire, but I think Fury and SHIELD should be individual claims. Yes they affect the whole Marvel Universe, but there have been plenty of times when Fury and SHIELD have had their own title. And it was only recently that SHIELD has had the overarching role they've had. Plenty of titles existed for a really long time without even mentioning SHIELD much less having them be directly related.

Fury and SHIELD will be public claims but each individual member is private.

Just a historical note, Hydra typically was not a Cap villain in the comics, but the main antagonist of Fury and SHIELD in the Strange Tales run, then Nick's solo series in the 60's then Nick's series in the 90's etc. Hydra as a Cap villain in WWII is a cinematic development, as Hydra did not exist in comic Marvel WWII until retconned to do so around the time the movies came out. The association of them with Cap is really a modern occurrence, not a historical one in the MU. Stucker was Fury's opposite not Cap's. The Baron who bedeviled Cap through much of his career was the first Baron Zemo, then the second Zemo, and a little Baron Blood in there two. Stucker, not so much. Arnim Zola wasn't associated with Hydra until the movies either. He was a Kirby creation when he returned to Captain America in the mid-70s and was hiding away in South America with lots of other fugitive Nazi war criminals, and was retconned to having ties with Red Skull and such. It wasn't until Marvel Studios decided to replace Nazis with Hydra as the WWII villains (which might have its origins in Ultimate Marvel, but not the 616 Marvel), that Zola, Red Skull and Cap became tied to Hydra in the MU narrative.

Bloody hell. I go to work and half the people I was going to claim have been claimed up. Right. This requires something along the lines of...16hrs worth of thought....

We still don't have a writer for Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, or Fantastic Four so plenty of good titles still left.

Yeah, though, I'm not massive on wanting to write any of those guys, except Hulk, perhaps. Even then, that's kind of an outside...thought. Ain't your usual Hulk. I will do a few tweaks and have a gander after I've had me dinner.
EDIT: Not trying to whinge here either guys, was just making a general comment.
