Just curious to see where ya'll are at in the draft? I'm definitely interested in jumping on board.

At the moment there's only two people left to draft, if you want to join in we can put you behind those two. At the moment Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Hulk are all free.

Yeah that'd be awesome. I've got three titles in mind, so I'm bound to get one of them...Hopefully.

I'd like to clarify that Alpha Flight is not an X-Men title despite it being connected to X-Men for a long time.

Probably. Maybe we can redo the headings when we get all of the titles claimed.

Are the different categories really even necessary?

Not really, but I like it.

Are the different categories really even necessary? No, they aren't, but it makes the site look a hell of a lot cleaner.

If I can make a comment on things, the bottom of the main page looks like crap with all the archives, old cons, etc. I don't know if you can change it, but the giant list of sub boards for the old titles specifically is an eye sore. It's not bad in Mobile Version but the Desktop Version is...ugh.

It involves changing some code in the admin functions, but I had to do the same thing for the UDC site as well.

I don't mind the subdivisions, but I really don't like the Edge in a Marvel context. I know people were influenced by the new52, but Marvel had its own Edge family in the 90's back when Marvel was carved up like a feudal kingdom of Spider-verse, X-Verse, Avengers Verse, F-4vrse and an everything else category that was the Edge, each with its own effective Editor in chief, and that Edge line featured some of the worse Marvel offerings of the 90's man. Very little of value was produced under that moniker, the worse perhaps a rotating lead 99 cent book that was titled Over the Edge and Under a Buck. So for me, Marvel Edge just brings back wretched offerings of the worse of Marvel's 90 excesses, their pointless expansion of crap to eat up Market share when thy bought Heroes World distributors and killed all competition in the Direct Market by handing Diamond a monopoly with their greed and incompetence, and nearly killed Marvel as a whole by driving it into bankruptcy. SO yeah, Edge is not a good category for me where Marvel is concerned... -M

No, some god awful mini's were produced under the Edge Banner. Though, we did get Ellis' Doc Strange under Edge, and the Nightmare Miniseries, which was actually, pretty decent.
There's a thought, eh? Fear Lords series?

I guess I could rename the line. Thoughts and ideas for a new name?
EDIT: Also, any ideas on cleaning up the archives, cons, and crossover discussion sections?

Why agonize over three decisions when peer pressure will pick Spider-Man for you? Just kidding. Pick whatever you like.

Spider-Man is actually one of them!
I was totally going to do it, but then I got a stupid idea for Hulk this morning. Now I'm researching claims lists for both to see which one appeals more to me in general. Shouldn't take more than a few hours (I'm also at work, so).

I'm actually surprised Spider-Man lasted this long. If this was an actual draft ESPN would be cutting to Peter Parker sitting uncomfortably in the green room.

Yeah, it's interesting how this draft has essentially done a 180 from where the site was continuity-wise last universe.
Old: -Spidey -F4 -Blade -None of the Avengers minus Cap really in continuity
New: -No Spidey -No F4 -Shit ton of X-Men -Magic. Cosmic. Wow just wow -Iron Man and half the freakin' Avengers in Agents of SHIELD

BTW, to anyone curious, I do plan on doing the one shot I mentioned in "The Choice" thread. It'll be out in June and will close out the old universe. I'd prefer no one post an issue till it's done and out.

We were talking about it in the chat window earlier and the gist is that Peter Parker is far too well defined in the comics. especially the first hundred issues by Stan Lee that putting your own spin on the character is daunting

This site has a ton of momentum right now and i dont want to see it killed waiting on an issue that has nothing to so with this universe. I suggest you set a deadline for june first and then if you dont make it the other writers can start posting.
