Happy Holidays, and welcome to the 2015 Winter FanCon! We'll begin the Con with the Heroes Part 1 panel, featuring Agents of SHIELD, Fantastic Four, and the Invincible Iron Man! All interviews will be published in their corresponding panel's thread. So, you can expect announcements, teasers, and interviews soon! I'll begin the panel, although I don't have a title within this section of the Heroes line. The Avengers, sadly, will not debut soon. We've made great strides, and nearly had a creative team to launch the title before plans fell through. However, the plan is to launch The Avengers sometime this year, so look forward to that. And, although this could change completely, we've come up with a vague idea for a roster. While I won't share most of the members with you because they are very much up in the air, one is nearly set in stone. All Star Marvel's The Avengers will (probably) feature: Dr. StrangeThis is still up in the air, but the one constant we've had throughout our roster changes is Dr. Strange. However, should a writer claim a solo or team title starring him, the plans could very well change. I just thought we should tease something about The Avengers.

Hopefully we'll get something from Agents of SHIELD later, but for now we've got an interview with C_Miller about The Invincible Iron Man!
1. First off, an obvious question—why Iron Man?
I really wanted to go with a character that I'm not all that familiar with. Obviously we live in an Avengers world and Iron Man is equally popular to Batman and Superman, but that's just three 2 hour movies. He's been around for 50 years at this point, but that's all stuff that I'm not chained to because I'm not familiar with it. That's thrilling.
2. What specifically do you offer to the title that might differentiate it from something we’ve seen before, either in the movies or comics?
Tony is going to be about 25 with a party streak. Rather than Howard Hughes, he's going to be influenced by George W. Bush, at least to start. Happy and Pepper aren't going to start as his employees, but his father's, which will ultimately form their relationships. Stark Industries will be an arms manufacturer, but there will be more to it than that. It won't be as simplistic as it was in the 60s, but then again, what is?
3. Do you have a favorite character to write in the title? As a follow up, has any character surprised you with how fun they are to write?
Tony is really such a meaty character to get into. I knew going in that he was going to be the most fun character to write or at least he should have been. No one has really yet to surprise me in their infancy. But I'm having fun exploring the roles of Happy and Pepper.
4. What themes and topics do you plan on exploring with the title?
Family is a big one for me. I can't imagine writing anything where family isn't at least somewhat at the heart of it. Ultimately, the comic book stuff doesn't interest me all that much. The relationships do. And Iron Man is always a fun character to do political intrigue with, which I know will factor heavily into my run.
5. Are you more inspired by the movies or the comics?
If I had to choose, probably the movies. I've only read two comics with Iron Man that aren't Avengers titles. But my title is really going to be its own thing. Tony being about a decade and a half younger is going to be a part of that.
6. What can you tease about the title and your future involvement with the site?
There is a major twist with Tony's family that is going to lead to his creation of the Iron Man armor. It's not simply an escape plan created in a cave in the Middle East (or South East Asia). A lot of the sympathy that I have developed for the character and I hope the reader does will stem from this. And my goal is to boost The Mandarin into the stratosphere as a comics villain and hopefully will put him in league with Ra's Ah Ghul.

This panel is open for use by Dob for Agents of SHIELD at any time (I know he has an announcement to make), however we will be moving on to the next panel.

I always liked the idea of Dr Strange being a part of an Avengers team. As much as I love Defenders, Strange is A-List material (to me anyway). Looking forward to Millers Iron Man as well. I think that'll be a fun title, especially if Miller is coming at it from the angle of being new to the character. Is there a particular reason you're steering away from using Fing Fang Foom?
