The site's been in a slump for the last four months, at least. Now with jelly struggling to find a co-writer, it's only getting worse. Some titles haven't been updated in months. No new writer seems to stick around. About half the titles receive no reviews. I'm trying to keep things going. I'm not necessarily consistent with publishing my titles (Guardians is still technically a couple months behind schedule), but I do review everything and continue to stay relatively up to date with my titles. Jelly, I know you've been having technical issues, so there's nothing we can do about that, but does anyone have any ideas for how to jump start activity? I thought the FanCon would help (as it used to), but it didn't. It wasn't a failure, per se (activity did spike for a week), but the site's been dead since then.
Please, help me help you. Help me help the site. I don't want this to die. However, if this keeps up as we head into the summer, I'm afraid I might give up. The stress of constantly trying to keep this alive without any long term success sucks. I don't want to give up, so help me. Please.

Let me ask Indrid if he still wants to write due to recent events.

Not sure that actually answers any questions from Drake, there SilentKing.
I wrote a big old long response to this, but, what it boils down to really is that...there needs to be more content from others, Drake can't carry this place on his own, and the fact that this has been up for two days and no-one has responded to it from the big content provides indicates one of two things to me;
Can't be arsed to reply, which is a damning statement in and of itself
Are discussing all this behind closed doors, which is showing a lack of respect for the rest of the members because Drake obviously cares enough to discuss it openly, so why shouldn't they? We're all busy, you know, but if you have time to log on in the last 24hrs then you have time to post on something as heartfelt as Drakes post.
I don't know, it seems as though every time I think I can join this community/site, there seems to be some reason not to do so because of comments or interactions made.
You may disagree, and please do, but, this is what I think and really, as an outsider, surely what I think is going to be what keeps me coming back to a place like this?

With X-Men ending (fingers crossed), I was already a foot out the door I don't have any ideas for getting new people in. Maybe someone post on the fanfic subreddit?

Another day, and only Jelly responds (and he has limited access to working tech). C'mon, guys. Like the guest said, if you're discussing it, discuss it here. If you're not discussing it...well, that would be a major problem.
As for jelly's idea, anyone have a Reddit account?

Honestly, I don't know how Reddit works. Been on the site once. I assume you need an account to post, but I don't know for sure.

I'm not really sure what could be done, part of me really wants to write something, a bigger part of me is sure I'd just not get it done in time again.

Indrid damaged his laptop so he won't be writing for a while. I might do some writing as well though I need to talk to Drake about them due to involving characters he claimed at this moment.

I don't really use Reddit, but I literally just looked up "fanfiction subreddit" and it popped up. I guess just post there.

A description of the site. An invitation for people to join. Etc. Kinda like the UDC Facebook page.

It could possibly be that the "first come, first served" nature of the site could be off-putting to some. Let's say I wanted to write Captain America, but since he's claimed by DoB, that makes things complicated. Or say I wanted to write a Spider-Man title, as there's always been more than one Spidey title in the comics. Maybe I decide I want to write Spectacular Spider-Man. That'd probably be even more complicated than trying to write Captain America. Same thing with X-Men. There's Uncanny, Amazing, Astonishing... And now that I have Hulk claimed, that'll make it difficult for people coming to the site wanting to write Hulk.
I don't really know where I was going with this. Just wanted to state my thoughts.
