Within the next week, I'll probably have my first two issues out. Depending on my work and other projects, I should have two more out around the end of September. Ideally, they'll be short pieces (at least compared to my usual length for those who know me at UDCU) introducing you to the members of the current incarnation of the Fantastic Four. They won't be proper All Star Fantastic Four issues. But they do lead into the purpose behind the F4, the Future Foundation, and provide hints of an origin that is decades old.
So stay tuned, true believers.
Road to the Future: Fantastic is right around the corner.

If all goes as plan, then you can do a spin-off by the end of this month. Although, you would still need two more issues before you can have a second title. (You need to have a title to reach continuity before you can claim a second one on this site.)

Well, I haven't claimed Namor or the Inhumans and they seem to be the most interesting for spin off potential since I wanted to leave both open to others. Meaning I won't likely claim them (only really have story ideas for Namor) until after my first All Star F4 arc is done. However, I could totally get behind a Shakespearean Inhumans story.
As of my current claims and story, I'd only really have the original F4 taking place in the past, a proper Future Foundation, or Spider-Girl for a spin off and none of those interest me at the moment. Gonna try to keep things simple until I hit the 12 issue mark unless some random inspiration hits me and I just gotta have a second title.

Welp. There you have it folks. Road to the Future: Fantastic is out for your viewing pleasure. Ended up being longer than I intended (as they usually do ;_;) and it took a direction that I did not foresee in my outline for the style of the issue.
I did not expect it to have that much personality.
Up next is Road to the Future: Marvel. After reading this issue, you'll probably be able to guess who is the next member to be revealed. Three more to go and then I'll be starting All Star Fantastic Four: Foundation for the Future Pt 1.

First off, I read dessert as desert. XD Also, shouldn't it be "ot mih gnirad" and not "od mih gnirad"? And "tressed revo detrats tI" over "tressed detrats tI"? Yes, I am actually nitpicking on backwords writing that were meant to show time rewinding so you could show what the heck is going on. It just didn't seem consistent with the words you had actually wrote.
Also, Paste Pot Pete for the win! He really should have thought long and hard on that name before using it the first time. In any case, the issue was spectacular! (No, I am not going for the obvious pun) Speaking of puns, there was at least one glue based pun in there. I don't know if it was intentional or not. Most likely was. But it is still there. Anyway, you did a great job here. Although, Franklin seems more of another Johnny Storm with extra powers instead of a different person influenced by Johnny. Other than that, I have no real complaints. (Not even the nitpicking with the backword words were real. Just me nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking) Also, who were you referencing at the part with the duck that baby-sitted Franklin? Donald or Howard?

The first one was a typo... The second, I'm not quite sure how I missed "revo." Thanks for pointing it out.
Ah, Pete. So fun. I look forward to using him in a flashback or as part of the Frightful Four where I can let him really let loose with his powers.
The puns... Don't know which you're talking about but all of them were intentional. I was a fan of Piers Anthony growing up. He gave me a love of puns, both good and bad.
As for the one serious point of your review... Yeah, Franklin does come across as Johnny instead of Johnny influenced but unfortunately for me, the scene for me didn't let me show the other sides of him and for good reason. When you have ultimate power and you're surrounded by geniuses... You latch onto "normal" and relaxed. Franklin is a man in his early twenties who never had a chance to be normal. Great things were always expected of him. Even more when his powers developed. He accepts the responsibility of his blood but doesn't particularly enjoy it. (There's a reason for that as hinted by his "headache")
Other than that, you'll definitely see a different side of him early on in ASF4. When he's mad, he's the most terrifying being on the planet. Scarier than even his mother. And it probably doesn't help to give mutants a good name...
And finally, the babysitter... Obviously I was referencing Howard at the time but now that I think about it... Some of the things Donald says, do sound like swear words. But due to site restrictions, I was suitably vague. Heck, given that he has a sister and you don't know if there's a third Richards kid, could have even been Scrooge McDuck. One thing for sure is... It wasn't Darkwing.

Ha, yeah. And I wonder if Franklin will be able to take part in the Galactus event? In any case, I look foward to future issues.

I don't know yet. A part of me wants to take him out of the equation but I don't know if he'll have another chance to face off with Galactus. And another part of me wants a moment where he steps up and has to unleash all his power.

Alright first off wachter I have to say it you're probably the one writer who I could identify solely by their dialogue. Completely unique and quarky loved the adult yet youthful voice of Franklin in this issue.
I definitely have to second that he did seem like a clone of Johnny rather then his own character, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt with it being your opening issue. I'm positive that you'll add more to him as you go along.
Also, you captured the spirit of what makes the fantastic four great here while telling a drastically different story then any that have come before it so for that kudos.
I;m excited to see the rest of the cast revealed as you go along.

It will never cease to amaze me that people have good things to say about my dialogue. I honestly think that has to be my weakest point.
Road to the Future: Marvel is finished. I'll be posting it tomorrow after it is edited. I am also debating whether or not to keep these in their sub-board or post them on the main FF board and put them there after I get the first "true" issue of F4 out.

Hopefully you will like the third member of All Star Fantastic Four. I certainly look forward to the dynamic of having new eyes to see the team through.
Sorry for two issues without any action. Next one will likely be light on it too but that's why they're not proper All Star Fantastic Fours.
Only one issue to go...
Only one member left to be revealed...
Will I have complete domination of the banner or will someone manage to knock off one of my issues?
We'll find out soon.

The dialouge was boring and clichéd; the conflicts had little set up and made no sense; the plot was barely there, or not there at all; the characterization of the characters was horrible and predictable; it is a mockery of the material it was base on; and what is more, the special effects you are famous for was too godawefully and cheesy to save this piece of crap; and the message is completely unsafe to children, something you were partially focused on entertaining!!!!!
...oh wait. That is my future review to Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles movie. I lost the actual review I wrote for this, so the summary is that it was cool, and a good set up for the actual title issues.

The work you did with Valeria creates a new dynamic character who is her own person for her mythos. You made strides with Franklin as well making him less Johnny clone and more his own person. Spider wasn't bad but just didn't get it done for me. I can't, put my thumb on it though. If i figure it out I will definitely let you know.
Overall though I've enjoyed the series and keep up the good work.

Weird... I would have sworn I posted this...
Well, not gonna go into as much detail as my original...
I think I know what you mean, Buck. And thanks for the words about Val.

I didn't intend to post this so soon. Was gonna save it for the start of the month. But with the site not being updated in a few days, I figured I'd give us something new to read.
The issue's true title is down at the bottom.
The F4 have been formed.
I have two more issues planned for the next few days. All Star Fantastic Four #1: Foundation for the Future Pt 1. will get us into the thick of things. It'll answer questions and cause even more. ASF4 #1.1 will expand on another character that'll star in the series and delve deeper into the purpose behind the Flash Mob in Spider.
Here's a hint: It's related somewhat to the origin of the song.

Silver Surfer, if I ever get it done, is gonna be a monthly series with each issue released at the end of every month. Now, about the issue itself. It was cool and gives a good interpretation of the FF origin. But I was a little confused on what was going on during the second half. I had to pause every so often to understand what was currently happening. Also, what is currently going on with Grimm? Is he back to normal now? Or did he transform even more? All in all, I give it 7/10.

The joke for that bit was Johnny thinking Ben looked better as the Thing. Not as a regular, middle-aged bald guy. I won't say if he's normal now or if he transformed further since that is one of those wait and see things but I will admit he appears human in the issue.
He's no longer the Thing. He's not orange, still bald, finally has ears again, and is uglier than ever. And if you've ever been on stage, in front of lights, pale as snow and without any makeup? You shine like crazy.
All in all, I'm not too bent out of shape for this issue since I know it's my weakest and for some reason, the press conference bit totally vanished on me to the point I thought about cutting it since I already hit the 1000 word mark with the origin but I needed it for the start of Issue 1 with the ducking out of the F4.
